I have known Jeanette for a couple of years now, we met at the Hay House “Have you got a book in you” Conference as finalists. We instantly took a liking to one another and were inseparable that weekend, having lots of fun and taking lots of opportunities.

Recently I had to ask for a refund on a website being made by another company as the creators were very unprofessional and even started asking for very personal information such as my social media passwords. Something didn’t feel right, then when they started to not show up on appointment times without any notice time after time, I got fed up and asked for my money back. Fortunately with Jeanette’s help I received a full refund on the same day that I asked.

So then I did what I felt in my heart all along and immediately booked in to have my website designed through Jeanette’s company “House Design.” Jeanette was extremely efficient and keen to get down to business and get it done. I found this very professional and was very happy with the fast responses as I am someone who also tries to get things done as soon as I can.

She answered all of my E-mails and correspondence instantly, I always knew what was expected of me and if anything would cost extra. She gave me a few nudges and reminders to send things in too which was great as I have been so busy. She explained things to me in simple to understand terms when I didn’t understand some things. And she was very happy to answer questions I had.

I fell in love with the template of the website as soon as I saw it. I was over the moon with how it looked I wanted to show everyone straight away. She sent me images of each page and was happy to make adjustments to anything I wanted changed around. I viewed the website on my phone and couldn’t believe how easy it was to navigate around on. My previous website didn’t line up properly on the phone and things seemed to be a bit out of shape.

She sent me invoices with accurate descriptions of the work she was going to have done and was true to her word. She gave me receipts. She gave me a log in sheet with all of my details on it that I have put on file. She sent me instructions on how to edit things and run my website without having to constantly ask her to do it for me.

I didn’t realize just how unprofessional the other company was until I dealt with Jeanette. They never even gave me their ABN number or an invoice for my payments. I wish I had just gone to her in the first place. It went live very quickly and I am extremely happy with it. In the first week I had almost 1,000 unique website visitors come and take a look at my new website and read my blogs. I have already started to get business through my online booking system too.

Thanks for the great work Jeanette!

Over the past weekend I had the amazing opportunity of attending the Hay House Writers Seminar in Sydney as I had been fortunate due to the help and support of many voting for me and had WON a free ticket to the event.
Talk about Awesome, I learnt so much and had many questions and thoughts answered in relation to my self-published soon to be BEST SELLING ‘4 Week Program!’ plus my marketing plan, my platforms, my websites and the way I am implementing my goals and book / program within the community.
The energy and vibration in the room was electric and I met so many wonderful friendly like minded people. I hung out with a lovely lady and made a new friend also a ticket winner being Melissa Gibson a psychic, we got along fabulously – the Butterfly Whisperer.
Now to finalise my Synopsis to present to Hay House!
Someone (or maybe more than one person) who attended the seminar will WIN a publishing package with them; I could be the next bestselling author accelerating my passion to “Get Australia Motivated!”. I hope so as I can feel it within my whole being!!

I had the pleasure of meeting and having a photo with the authors in order (the 1st four even before the seminar started!) as per my Law of Attraction photo print out (pretty powerful – reminds me of my Law of Attraction Donald Trump picture here) and the rest throughout the two days. I was also on the print out as a featured author as I will be speaking at the seminar in the future (L.O.A. at work). I even had a photo taken on stage with my book to assist my Law of Attraction processes! All the authors had such inspiring stories and were great at public speaking.

–   “Books are intimate things. They’re one of the only things apart from your husband/wife/partner that you take to bed with you.” – Reid Tracy   (or if you are me it’s your Laptop to listen to Reid and Louise Hay lol)
–   “Ask yourself, what makes my book so different? So interesting? Don’t write to be a best seller. Write for and from your heart, not your wallet. Write something you want to be remembered by.” – Leon Nacson
–   “The hard part about writing a book is getting people to read it.” – Reid Tracy

After the seminar I ran 11.5km around Sydney for some exercise and even managed to get my weekly stair runs in at the ‘Oprah’ House,  proudly promoting the Fraser Coast Health & Fitness Community Action Group.

“Need A Hand?”
GOAL # 1 – REDUCE OBESITY ON THE FRASER COAST FROM 70% TO 50% WITH POSITIVE AND GOAL ORIENTATED INITIATIVES INTURN DRAMATICALLY LOWERING DIABETES!
We need to have at least 1,000 people doing my ‘4 Week Program’ to create a flow on effect to change 20,000 people to achieve the goal of dropping the obesity / overweight statistic from 70% to 50% on the Fraser Coast! (this could be executed in as short a time frame as 12 months!) Just imagine how happy, energetic, motivated and productive everyone would be! Too Exciting! (Then I / We can start on the rest of the 63% of Australia!)

Why Blog??

September 18, 2007

redwriteweb.jpgBy Kimberley Martin

Blogs are quickly appearing from under a shroud of mystery in Australia. What started as an outlet for frustrated writers to air their views has been quickly seized as a clever marketing tool for big business and small alike.
Why??

Reach The Masses
Just for a minute, try to comprehend the size of an international online audience. Is it bigger than your local paper? Bigger than regional television? Bigger than a national newspaper? You betcha! Quality, informative articles on your blog can attract countless readers for you to convert to subscribers, leads and customers.

Customer Relations
A blog provides a forum for two way communication between your business and your customers. They learn more about you and can then offer you valuable feedback. It is also a great proving ground for new ideas and products.

SEO
Search Engine Optimisation is a term on everybody’s lips at the moment. We all want to increase our chances of being recognised. Search engine spiders will quickly recognise fresh, updated content, ie blogs. Add to this some clever keyword usage and your posts can be listed under various searches.

Target Your Market
A blog that relates to your business will attract readers who are already interested in your products or services. Imagine your customers coming to you without an advertising dollar being spent!

The advantages of a business blog are numerous. For a small initial outlay and some regular time spent tapping away at your keyboard, you have a marketing tool that continues to work for you. Of course, if you think its just another job to add to your already endless list, call in a professional writer to do the mental work. The possible return on investment is almost unfathomable.

Design House is now Blogging!

June 19, 2007

Well it’s finally happened! Design House has its own Blog!

What is a Blog you may be asking?

A blog is a modern way of saying a website that is updated regularly, often written in first person as if it were some form of diary. A Blog allows the Author to express their thoughts and opinions with the world.

What does Wikipedia say a blog is?

A blog (a portmanteau of web log) is a website where entries are written in chronological order and displayed in reverse chronological order. “Blog” can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.

Blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs.
